Inspired by Scott’s vision, Scottie’s Gift Foundation was created on May 1st, 2021 by the Kienhofer Family. Our Foundation’s mission is to bring love, joy, and comfort to newly diagnosed pediatric cancer patients and their families.

With the support of our amazing donors, we provide families with personalized gift baskets to help brighten their darkest and most difficult days. Most baskets will be filled with a tablet, age-appropriate gifts, and/or gift cards for both the child and their families. Of course, there are times when some items will vary based on the patient’s individual needs, the Foundation’s recommendation, and input from hospital staff.

 

Our goal is to give gift baskets to all newly diagnosed pediatric cancer patients being treated at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland. We hope to expand to other hospitals in the Bay Area in the future.
